Overnight: Waikabubak · Lunch / Dinner

Arrive at Tambolaka Airport and meet your Jiwa Explore guide. Journey through western Sumba, traditional villages and countryside. Visit Ratenggaro Traditional Village — traditional houses and ancient megalithic tombs. Continue to the coast around Pero Beach, then to your accommodation.

Traditional villages & Praijing

Overnight: Waikabubak · B / L / D

After breakfast, explore traditional settlements. Visit Praijing Traditional Village, where Sumbanese houses stand among rolling hills and farmland. Meet local residents and learn about architecture, customs and traditions that remain part of everyday life. Continue through countryside and communities, then return to Waikabubak.

Weekuri Lagoon & Mandorak Beach

Overnight: Waikabubak · B / L / D

Travel toward the southwest coast. Swim or relax beside the turquoise waters of Weekuri Lagoon, a natural saltwater lagoon surrounded by cliffs. Continue to Mandorak Beach, a small hidden beach framed by rugged cliffs and crystal-clear water. Return to your accommodation in the afternoon.

Wairinding, Walakiri & Waingapu

Overnight: Waingapu · B / L / D

Travel across the island toward East Sumba. Stop at Wairinding Hills, where rolling golden-green hills create panoramic views. Continue toward Walakiri Beach. In the late afternoon, enjoy the mangrove sunset, when the silhouettes of the trees create a unique landscape.

East Sumba villages & waterfall

Overnight: Waingapu · B / L / D

After breakfast, explore the countryside around East Sumba. Visit traditional villages and experience local architecture and lifestyle. Continue to a natural waterfall — enjoy the surroundings and, conditions permitting, take a swim. Return to Waingapu for your final evening in Sumba.

Breakfast

Enjoy breakfast and your final morning. Depending on your flight, there may be time for a short visit to a local market or nearby attraction before transferring to Umbu Mehang Kunda Airport, Waingapu. Your Sumba adventure ends with Jiwa Explore.
